This alloy has the following properties:
Hastelloy C22 alloy has good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent anti-oxidation ability in water medium, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or mixed acid containing oxidizing acid of chloride ion. At the same time, Hastelloy C22 alloy also has the ideal resistance to the reduction and oxidation environment encountered in the process. Depending on this universal performance, it can be used in some headache environments, or in a variety of production purpose factories. Hastelloy C22 alloy has abnormal resistance to various chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances, such as ferric chloride, copper chloride, chlorine, thermal pollution solution (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, sea water and salt solution, etc. Hastelloy C22 alloy has the ability to resist the formation of grain boundary precipitation in the heat affected zone of welding, so that it can also adapt to many chemical process applications in the welding state.
